I'm actually quite happy with how this watercolour turned out, apart from the fact that random splashes of blue and red didn't diffuse the way I wanted them to. I envisioned the colour scheme being slightly warmer, but oh well the shadows wanted to be cool, so what could I do?
Yeah as i said before, watercolour painting. All colours mixed from primary colours of cadmium red, alizarn crimson, pthalo blue, cobalt blue, cadmuim yellow and lemon yellow. No secondary of tertiary colours whatsoever. One hell of mixing, I tell you.
Sometimes I see myself as that little girl in the background.

this one is pretty good michelle - I have to say, your doing a lot more than I am
Since crit is welcome ....
I think the perspective is a little out with the houses, and the houses themselves look a little crude.
and you've left a lot of white to show, giving a sketchy feel - but hey, whos saying thats a bad thing?
and...
I can't think of anything else I would change.
Other than those minor quibbles I think this is an excellent piece. The colours are vibrant and strong, and the composition is good, with the focus on the girls led by the converging lines. I rather like it, but not as much as the blue teddy bear... that was brilliant.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
